Stunt Spectacular Reopens after Renovations in June 2000!

The Indiana Jones Stunt Show closed for renovations on January 10th, 2000, for the first time since the park opened in 1989. Wouldn't you know it, I arrived at Disney World on January 10th... However, desperate Indy fan that I am, I went back in June 2000 just in time for the grand reopening!

Not much had been changed, just a line of dialogue here or there, a new, really irritating intro by a character called "Spaz" and everything had been given a fresh coat of paint. They did add a few nifty touches here and there and are also adding the "Fast Pass" system, which offers you a timed reservation to avoid waiting in line. However, since the show seats 1000, I have never had to wait in line (other than to be seated) even during busier times of the year.

Me at the Indy Gift Shop. The promised new merchandise consisted mostly of new t-shirts, but they are very cool -- I got three different ones... I hear that new stuff has been added since I was there last year, including action figures that I am desperate to get my hands on. Want to take me to WDW?

Chairs outside the gift shop, presumably for Lucas & Spielberg...

A new sign for the Stunt Show

A new display of crated artifacts being shipped to Indy, found in the entrance to the stunt show

Me, Madame Belloq, about to go riffling through the crates and steal anything that Rene might be able to sell to the Nazis...unless Indy catches me... hahahahahaha...

More on the Stunt Show and the Indiana Jones Temple of the Forbidden Eye Attraction coming soon!
